The Master Coach System places one or two coaches in charge of designing practice plans and overseeing training in the gym. This ensures that all athletes are taught consistent technical skills, regardless of team placement, and receive the same high-level instruction across all age groups.

Athletes can bring a lunch or purchase lunch from the TPV Concession Stand.

A: Doors are open approximately 1 hour before the start of each program.

What does my athlete need to bring to camp?
A: Athletes should bring:
- Water Bottle / Sport Drink
- Volleyball Apparel (Shirt, Spandex/Shorts, Kneepads, Socks, Shoes)
- Positive Attitude (Ready to Work & Have Fun!)

We have EVERYTHING needed and available for purchase at the front-counter. Kneepads, Elbow Pads, Socks, etc.

Parents are encouraged to stay and watch all Academy sessions, tryouts, camps and clinics!

However, practice is CLOSED during our training sessions in season. This is because of safety first and foremost, but also player to program focus and high-level training.

Communication is handled through the website, email, team apps, and posted schedules. Parents are encouraged to reach out directly to directors with any other questions or concerns.

Yes. TPV has two training schedules:
      • November–December: Early season schedule
      • January–end of season: Standard in-season schedule
  •  TPV Club: A highly competitive program for athletes who want to train and compete at the highest level. Ideal for serious high school athletes with college aspirations and middle school athletes seeking top-level play, including AAU Nationals.
  •    TPV Club Prep: A competitive program designed for multi-sport athletes or players who need additional support in fundamentals and technique. Great for athletes who want strong training without the full demands of Club.

  • Club: Tryouts are held in the fall (dates posted on the website).
  • Club Prep: Registration-based—no tryouts required for MS at this time. We will require tryouts for Club Prep at the HS level.
  • Club Prep: Registration-based. The first 3 weeks are used for evaluations by TPV Master Coaches and staff. Teams are formed based on position and ability.
  • Club: Evaluations take place during the first 1–2 weeks of the season. Teams are formed by position and ability to maximize development.
  • Teams typically have 10–11 athletes.
  • Equal training time is guaranteed for all players.
  • Playing time is earned through effort, performance, and growth.
  • Club Prep: Competes primarily in local and regional tournaments.
  • Club: Competes in both regional and national events, including AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL.
Uniform packages are required and purchased separately. Packages typically include jerseys, practice shirts, and TPV apparel. Details are provided after registration/tryouts.

TPV offers monthly payment plans for all programs. Families needing an alternative payment plan may contact Jim Mort directly by email. jim@tennesseeperformance.com

TPV will always put our focus on TRAINING first. We know that what we can do in our OWN GYM is far more important and valuable for the long-term development of the volleyball athlete. If a club is promising you more results with less work, they are misleading you! There is no substitute for high level training that forces player to develop muscle memory while performing skills at a high level. The only way to achieve that is through years of hard work. THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS.

It's for these reasons that we focus on player development and training through ALL our programs. Regardless of age or team, EVERY ATHLETE will be treated the same and be given the same technical instruction.
